Doug is a graduate from the School of Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University, California. His emphasis is helping his patient achieve their highest possible level of function in a caring, practical and enjoyable manner. The majority of his experience has been in private practice where he utilizes his years of accumulated knowledge to assess musculoskeletal problems, using hands-on manual therapy techniques and educating his patients about how they can better manage their condition to avoid recurrence.
Part of his arsenal of pain relieving techniques directed towards the spine and extremities include skilled osteopathic techniques such as strain counter strain, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, and primal reflex release techniques. In addition to treating vertigo and balance deficiencies, he is experienced in rehabilitation of orthopedic surgical and non-surgical interventions, including joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, hand surgeries, tendon repairs and wound care.
Doug’s goal is to help his patients achieve lasting pain relief and restore lost function by incorporating a wellness program into his discharge planning.
For 20 years, Doug owned his own PT clinic and fitness gym with an aquatic therapy pool. He enjoys spending time with his wife Mary, motorcycle riding, gardening, playing tennis, water skiing, hiking and family events. Their three children have completed graduate school and live out of the area with their spouses.
