Jacob was born and raised in Chico, California. He attended the University of California, Santa Cruz and California State University, Chico, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Exercise Physiology in 2013. After graduation, Jacob moved to Sacramento where he earned his Master of Physical Therapy from California State University and then spent time in Europe.
Jacob has received advanced training in manual therapy techniques, including Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and continues to study other manual treatment approaches as well.
Jacob’s professional areas of interest include low back, sacroiliac joint, shoulder, hip/knee/ankle, and forearm/elbow. Jacob likes to educate his patients about the purpose and benefits of maintaining good posture, both statically and dynamically and during any position or movement.
New to Southern Oregon in late 2015, Jacob enjoys exploring new terrain, especially Mount Ashland with his snowboard. Jacob also enjoys walking, skateboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, backpacking, and swimming. Music is also an interest of Jacob’s. He likes to play guitar, ukulele, and djembe. He admits, however, that he is better suited to listening than to performing.
